1 pack of Salted Caramel and Dark Chocolate Cookie Dough
1 bottle or tube of black edible food colouring
1 pack of edible sugar eyes
1 pair of disposable gloves
I had so much fun making these cookies. My favourite hack is to take something so simple and delicious and change it with one ingredient. In this case all I did was add natural black edible food colouring. You would never believe that this was the same cookie and the texture stayed perfect. All the little zombie eyes made it fun and scary for Halloween.
1. Preheat the oven to 160c fan.
2. I took each puck and added one drop at a time of the black colouring to achieve the dark colour. Remember to wear your gloves or your hands will turn black with the dough. Add as much as you want but do not overdo it. I’d say max 4 drops.
3. Place all the coloured cookie pucks 3 cm apart on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
4. Bake for 6 minutes and quickly add the eyes to each of the cookies. You can put as little or as many as you would like. Bake for another 7 minutes and then take them out of the oven and let the cookies rest. They will be slightly soft in the middle.
Tips: You can easily make these orange, green or even purple for a Halloween party.
